Med Imaging now provides an Ultrasound Probe Repair Service

One in four probes will need some sort of repair during their lifetime, and Med Imaging have a sophisticated technology to test your probes and catch faults before they develop and render your probe ‘dead’.

We can repair your probes at a fraction of the cost of replacement, thereby increasing the longevity of your equipment and ultimately saving you money.

We can repair all major OEM’s (Philips, Toshiba, GE, Siemens, HP, Acuson, ATL, and Sonosite).

We specialise in the repair of TOE probes which can cost anywhere between £12,000 to £30,000 to replace and we are experts in the repair of standard and mechanical probes. We are also able to provide, in most cases, loan probes.

How does your service work?

All probes that we receive are carefully evaluated before repair; we test to confirm the extent of damage in a number of ways including the utilisation of laboratory, phantom and live tests of the transducers.

We produce a full report and if the repair is possible you are informed of the cost and expected turn around time.
At this point the decision needs to be made as to whether you want us to proceed with the repair or not. The choice is yours.

If the repair is not possible, we will offer you an exchange probe – you have the choice of purchasing a new or a refurbished probe if required. We provide a 6 month warranty on all the repaired areas of the probe.

Repaired probes undergo function testing and are electrically safety tested and disinfected before being returned.
